August Midweek Drive: Waitlist added

This drive is full and a waitlist has been added.  We will use the waitlist to fill cancellations.

We will leave Café 22 at Lombardi time (9:00 am), so please be here by 8:30 to sign waivers and have a participants meeting at 8:45 am.  We will drive up and over the Eola Hills and travel along some beautiful 2 lane roads eventually turning east passing by Bethel heights, Perrydale and past the Baskett Slough on way to the first rest stop at Dallas City Park where there is ample parking and real bathrooms.  From there we will we will wind our way around Oakdale, to Monmouth Hwy, travelling over the hills, to Hyak County Park. The third leg will take us on the back roads along the River, past Ankeny Wildlife Refuge and cross through Independence on our way back to Café 22.  At Aspinwall’s will have our own outside area to visit and have lunch.  Because of the separate tickets, an automatic 18% will be added.

We will start with 20 cars in 2 groups.  If less sign up then we will adjust. A waitlist will be added if needed to fill in cancelations.  Registration will open on Thursday, July 25 at 7:00 pm. We are in need of 2 sweeps and 1 lead.  Please volunteer for these roles when you register.

General information about this event:

• The “Release and Waiver of Liability” will be available to sign at the start of the drive.
• Registration is by car. Each driver must register their car. If you have a navigator, you will register that person at the same time. If you don’t have a navigator, just mark the navigator question as N/A.
• The start location and a printable PDF file of Printed Route Directions and Scenic Navigation App Access will be provided a day before the event to all registrants. Please check your Spam folder if you do not see an email with the directions within 24 hours of the event.
• Since this is a registration only event, please do not share this information with anyone else.
