Last Chance Drive: Wednesday, October 25

Next Wednesday, October 25 is forecast to be rain free and Larch Mountain Road is now open to the top and the viewpoint is open.  Kurt Fuerstenau will lead a drive from Louis and Clark State Recreation Site up to Larch Mountain where you will hike up to the viewpoint where you can see 4 mountains and then drive back down and head to Ristorante Di Pompello in downtown Troutdale.

There will be 2 groups of 12 cars. Arrival time will be between 9:00am and 10:00am with a participant’s meeting prior to the start time.  You will be informed of the actual arrival time in the information including the drive directions by Tuesday, October 24.  Registration is open now and will close on Sunday, October 22 at 7:00pm. Volunteers are needed to lead and sweep Group 1 and we need a sweep for Group 2. Please volunteer when you register.

General information about this event:

• The “Release and Waiver of Liability” will be available to sign at the start of the drive.
• Registration is by car. Each driver must register their car. If you have a navigator, you will register that person at the same time. If you don’t have a navigator, just mark the navigator question as N/A.
• The start location and a printable PDF file of Printed Route Directions and Scenic Navigation App Access will be provided a day before the event to all registrants. Please check your Spam folder if you do not see an email with the directions within 24 hours of the event.
• Since this is a registration only event, please do not share this information with anyone else.
