If you own a Porsche 918, Taycan, Panamera E-Hybrid, Cayenne E-Hybrid, or any other brand of all-electric car (Tesla, Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Polestar, Jaguar, VW, etc.) come be a part of ORPCA history and join Ravi Rajaram and William & Anne Rasnake on June 3 for ORPCA’s first all-electric car drive.
Our drive starts with a casual run from Tigard through the Willamette Valley past farms, fields, and flowers to Vernonia where we switch to twisty back roads through forests and hills to Astoria. Lunch in Astoria is at Bridgewater Bistro.
This is a 122-mile drive that should make any EV owner proud that they can make it to the coast and back on one charge (even a Taycan!). However, if you are range afraid, we start from a high-power EV charging station and end near one in Astoria (and a Tesla Supercharger is in Seaside). There will be three rest stops. Anne & Bill Rasnake plan to enjoy the coast for the day and spend the night. If you have never driven the backroads from Vernonia to Astoria, including Youngs River Road, this drive will be a real treat, and you may even get to see an elk herd.
We will have 1 Group of 15 vehicles. Please arrive by 9:00am, 9:15 participant’s meeting, 9:30 wheels turning, 13:00 lunch. Registration will open on Thursday, May 4 at 7:00pm. Please register by car.
