Join us for the last SUV Drive of the year on Saturday, December 10!
The drive will start at 9:30 am in Wilsonville. The route initially follows the Willamette River, then heads northwest toward Newberg. We circumvent Newberg on the eastern side and meander our way up to Bald Peak State Park for a first rest stop. From there we descend towards Gaston and head to Timber and then Vernonia City Park for a second rest stop. After the rest stop, we drive over the mountain range to Scappoose, then up to Rocky Point and Skyline. At Cornelius Pass, we turn south and down to the Rock Creek Tavern, for late lunch at the fireplace. The drive is about 114 miles and about 3 hours driving time. If the conditions show snow on the higher elevations there are alternative, low altitude routes to Rock Creek Tavern.
Please arrive at 9:00 am. We will have a participant’s meeting at 9:15 am with our departure by 9:30 am.
Registration will end on Wednesday, December 7 at 5:00pm.
